Katherine Rees, a.k.a. Katie Rees, a former Miss Nevada who was stripped of her title in 2007, is charged with possessing and selling meth.
Devoted fans of Miss USA debauchery may remember that Katie Rees, 30, has a history of charges against her dating all the way back to 2005.
Traffic violations landed her in trouble, and sexually explicit photos of her resulted in the loss of her title. But that was nothing compared to this.
On Monday, the 30-year-old was charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance;
- Sale of a controlled substance;
- Two counts of conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substances act, pertaining to the above charges.
It's not the first time Rees has faced allegations of drug use, either.
In 2009, she was questioned by customs officials in Sydney, Australia, after swabs of her bag and laptop tested positive for cocaine.
"I don't do drugs," Rees insisted. "I don't use cocaine. I don't use any kind of pill, no kind of Xanax, no anything. I don't use anything."
She was released then without being charged, but in 2012, she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drug charge as part of a plea deal.
Rees has not yet entered a plea regarding the new drug charges, which stem from incidents in September and October of last year.
